Mater Filius Dallas houses only pregnant women who are 18 years old or older who lack housing at the time they seek assistance. After birth, mother and child can stay in the house for up to eight months.
We commonly take referrals from schools, government services, hospitals, parishes, or good Samaritans.
In only two and a half years of operation, we have supported the Catholic ProLife Committee, Project Gabriel, White Rose, Birth Choice, Catholic Charities Adoption Center, and Child Protective Services.
If you are the person in need of assistance, you may contact us directly by phone at 972-836-9378 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Upon contacting us, we will set up an interview with one of our staff members to learn more about you and how we can help you.
After having the interview, we will consider and decide if the applicant should live in the house as a resident. If admitted, you will be invited to visit the facilities and then introduced to the other mothers living in the house.
Mater Filius Dallas reserves the right to accept or deny the admission of any applicant based on the urgency to provide housing and the safeguard of the current residents.
We are not an educational, medical, or government facility. Mater Filius is an independent nonprofit and must comply with federal and state regulations to operate the house. Our work is to advocate for the welfare, health, and best interest of the mothers and babies living in the house.
Mater Filius Dallas is a non-profit organization that offers provisional residence to pregnant women who find themselves without any other means of support. While we are rooted in the Catholic traditions, we welcome deserving expectant mothers regardless of their marital or socioeconomic status, ethnicity, or religious beliefs. Mater Filius Dallas is a registered 501(c)3.
